Annabel Langbein One egg chocolate cake Recipe
One egg chocolate cake
50g butter1tbsp golden syrup1/2c sugar1 egg1 tbsp cocoa1c flour1tsp baking powder3/4c milk1tsp baking soda1/2 tsp vanilla essenceChocolate ganache1/3c chocolate melted2-3 tbsp fruit pulp

50g butter
1tbsp golden syrup
1/2c sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp cocoa
1c flour
1tsp baking powder
3/4c milk
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Chocolate ganache
1/3c chocolate melted
2-3 tbsp fruit pulp
1.Melt over low heat Butter and Golden syrup stirring well to combine.

In a bowl, add sugar and one egg. Cream with electric beater until smooth and glossy.

Rubber scrap syrup into bowl and re beat until caramel colour and frothy.

2. Pre sift onto plate/bowl cocoa, flour and baking powder.

Into jug put milk, baking soda and vanilla stir well to combine.

3. Dump dry ingredients into your butter mix, mix until no flour is left

4. Pour liquids into bowl and mix well until smooth, and glossy no lumps.

5. Pour mixture evenly into 2 tins. Bake until they spring back. Turn out and cool.

Chocolate ganache
Mix all ingredients until fudge like consistency

Pour ganache onto one side of cake put other side on top decorate with chocolate drawings and eat.

I baked at 350 F for 15 mins. layered the bottom of 2x 9 in round baking pans with baking paper and buttered the sides and dusted the buttered sides with flour. Worked great. Layered with vanilla cream in the center and covered with chocolate ganache.
