Win a year's supply of chocolate

Posted on March 12, 2013 by Annabel Langbein

Whittakers competition V2.jpg

I suspect I’m not the only woman – or man – who has an emotional relationship with chocolate.

When I was living in New York in the Eighties I had this dishy boyfriend who used to pick me up in a limo and take me out to nice restaurants. Then I went up to Toronto to work for a while, and one night I rang my nice boy in New York. A woman answered the phone and I noticed there was a very short time between her picking up the phone and his voice coming on the line, as though the two of them were very close together. Alarms bells went off, and it turned out he had been living with her for seven years!

I was so upset I made up a huge batch of chocolate brownie batter and ate the entire batch raw!

LL37_AL_Winter_Chocolate.jpgChocolate is the food we reach for when we’re feeling down, but also our favourite treat for celebrating special occasions such as Easter, Christmas, bookclub... pretty much any excuse will do. Which is why we’ve decided the month of March is going to be Chocolate Month on my whizz-bang new website.

With Easter falling at the end of the month, we thought we’d start the party early with a feast of chocolate recipes, tips and prizes. To be in to win a year's supply of Whittaker's chocolate (a big block a week for 52 weeks) simply sign up for my new community before the end of March. By joining my community you'll be able to upload recipes, chat with me and other foodies in my forums and win exclusive giveaways. Come on over and take a look – see you there!
