THE ESSENTIAL SHOPPING LIST
Friday Dinner – a ready-made fish pie from your favourite deli, or take your own fresh homemade pie. Salad greens, spring onions, vinaigrette dressing. Fresh fruit and your favourite Russian fudge.
Saturday Brunch – for frittata: 8 eggs 1 packet rocket 100gms pecorino, 2 cups cooked potatoes and fresh herbs. Serve with a tossed green salad (maybe add toasted walnuts and fresh pears) and fresh bread. Fresh seasonal fruit to finish.
Saturday Pre-Dinner Nibbles – 1 packet crostini, blue cheese, fresh dates
Saturday Dinner – 4 racks of lamb, fresh mint, Thai sweet chilli sauce, 6 whole onions, 6 whole beetroot, small jar maple syrup or honey. Accompany with small, diced roasted potatoes with garlic and olive oil, and fresh green vegetables, e.g. beans and zucchini.
Lemon Curd tarts – take cooked sweet pastry cases, a jar of lemon curd and a punnet of fresh berries or a couple of kiwifruit.
Sunday Brunch – fresh fruit for fruit salad, jar of passionfruit pulp, granola and yoghurt, bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, lemons.
