How do I sign up for Annabel's community and enewsletter?

It's easy – simply click "join" at the top right of your screen and enter your details. Plus, you'll go in the draw to win our sign-up prize! For a step-bystep guide, simply follow these instructions:

  1. Click on join at the top right corner of your screen. It will take you to the your details page.
  2. If you wish to access the community via your Facebook account, click on the words Signup with Facebook. When a pop-up appears, click on Log in with Facebook. Go to step 5.
  3. If you wish to access the community via an email address, fill in all of the boxes on the your details page, starting with First Name. The Username that you enter here will appear in the forums and on the recipes you load. Please choose a password and enter it twice to confirm.  
  4. When you have filled in all of your details, please check our terms & conditions and privacy policy to ensure you are familiar with our community and website regulations.
  5. Click the submit button and you are now a member of my community – welcome!
  6. To change or update your profile details or add a photograph click on the community tab at the top of your screen, then scroll down to my profile. If you add a photo it will appear next to your recipes and forum comments, along with your username. You can also share some information about yourself, such as hobbies or favourite foods. To update, click the update button.
  7. To start sharing recipes, click on the community tab at the top of your screen, then scroll down to add a recipe.
  8. To chat with other community members, click on the community tab at the top of your screen, then scroll down to forum. Enjoy!

How do I upload a recipe to the community?

  1. To login to the community, click the word login at the top right of your screen, then enter your username and password into the pop-up.
  2. Now click on add a recipe at the top right of your screen.
  3. First, upload your photo by clicking on choose file and then clicking on your photo. (you will need to upload a photo before you can continue)
  4. Type the name of your dish into the title box.
  5. In the prep time box, type in how long it takes to prepare the dish, in minutes (for example, if it takes half an hour, enter the number 30).
  6. In the cook time box, type in how long your dish needs to cook for, in minutes (for example, if it takes 1 hour and 10 minutes enter the number 70).
  7. In the serves box, type in how many people your dish will feed as a normal serving.
  8. In the dish type box, choose the category from the drop-down list that best describes your dish (for example, dinner).
  9. In the subcategory box, choose the category that next best describes your dish (for example, pasta).
  10. In the ingredients box, list the ingredients required, including quantities. Please list them in the order that they are used in the recipe, for ease of use when cooking.
  11. In the method box, describe step-by-step how to prepare and cook your dish. Include cooking times, temperatures and equipment required. Please be specific – imagine yourself making the dish for the first time and detail all of the things that would be helpful to know.
  12. Click the box confirming that the recipe and photo you are uploading are your own, and have been created by you
  13. Click on the terms & conditions and privacy policy links to make sure you are meeting the website regulations.
  14. Click save and your recipe is now loaded!
  15. Thank you for sharing your recipe with the community. It is now available for other community members to view, make, rate and share.
  16. If at any stage you want to update or change any of the recipes you have loaded, click on the community tab at the top of your screen, then scroll down to my recipes.

Does Annabel run cooking classes?

Unfortunately Annabel's time is currently fully committed so she is not able to run cooking classes. However, should such an occasion arise we will publicise it on this website, so keep checking back.

I have ordered from your online store. When will my delivery arrive?

Thanks for shopping with us! Assuming all your details are correct, we endeavour to deliver New Zealand orders within 10 working days of receipt. However, we cannot guarantee delivery within this timeframe – it's wise to allow longer during busy periods, such as prior to Christmas. Overseas orders may also take longer. Is it safe to use my credit card at your online store?

Annabel Langbein Media uses the DPS payment system to process credit card payments through the site. This is a best-practice system used to facilitate secure electronic payments. It keeps confidential at all times any information acquired in connection with an electronic credit card payment and protects all personal information. Click here for our store terms.

Where can I buy Annabel's wood-fired oven?

The wood-fired oven featured in the Annabel Langbein The Free Range Cook television series and cookbook is a Smarty oven, which can be purchased from Broady's. Broady's specialises in wood-fired ovens and is located in East Tamaki, Auckland.

Where can I find a recipe I saw on TV?

While you'll find lots of Annabel's recipes on this website, including at least two or three from each episode of her two television series, it's simply not possible to include all of the hundreds of great recipes she has published in the 19 cookbooks she's written to date. If you can't find a recipe you've seen on TV by searching for it in our recipe section, visit our online shop to buy the books, which include all the recipes from each series, as well as many extras. Sorry, we are not able to email out recipe requests.
